Welcome to Good Hope Baptist Church

GOD: We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

 

CHRIST: We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human, that he was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life and offered himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. We believe he was resurrected by the power of the Holy Spirit, ascended back to the right hand of God the Father, and ever lives to make intercession for us.

 

THE BIBLE: We believe the Bible in its original manuscripts to be the inspired Word of God and is designed to be our practical instructions for faith and conduct.

 

THE HOLY SPIRIT: ​We believe in the divine personhood of the Holy Spirit and that the Spirit dwells in every believer immediately after placing their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that the work of Spirit continues today providing spiritual gifts, guidance, comfort, counsel, revelation, protection, and unity, empowering believers to serve God and God’s people.

 

SALVATION: We believe salvation is shown through God’s grace based on the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross. We believe that those who confess and believe in the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, shall be saved (Romans 10:9). We further believe that our salvation is sealed and cannot be lost (John 10:28-29, Romans 8:35-39)
